The Women’s Night Out is an educational event sponsored by the Ventura Police Community Foundation.
The purpose is to provide guidance to women on ways to protect themselves when they are out alone. It is hoped that attendees will be better informed and prepared, and share the information learned with their family and friends.
Additionally, the Ventura Police Department will make a presentation on what they are doing to deal with assailants in the county.
The three-hour event is open to the first 75 women (only) who pay the $25 registration fee. It is being held at Peirano’s Market & Delicatessen which is well-known for its classic Italian fare. The ticket cost includes appetizers and wine, and starts at 6 pm with a Happy Hour.
