Regrettably the Ventura Police and Community Foundation has cancelled this year’s PAL Golf Tournament due to the COVID-19 Virus. Consequently, it will not be held in June of this year, but you can feel assured that the tournament will be back and bigger than ever in June 2021.

This was a very difficult decision, but we must be responsive to the health and wellness of our community. The VPCF Board felt it would be very difficult to meet physical distancing regulations in the upcoming months and are cognizant of the current economic issues experienced by our local businesses and our many contributors.

This decision was also difficult because the proceeds from this tournament go to support after school programs for hundreds of at-risk youth in Ventura. These programs, over many years, have proven to be very successful for our youth and their families. We want to thank and recognize the City of Ventura’s Recreation and Parks Department for providing these youth programs and we will continue to offer our support during these challenging times.

For those of you who may be in a position to continue your support for these youth programs, your tax-deductible donations will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be received via our web site or by mail.

PAL was founded back in 1997 with a primary goal to provide at-risk youth with meaningful recreation, educational, and cultural programs designed to keep youth away from the influence of gangs, drugs, violence, and delinquent behaviors. Today, PAL now operating as the Ventura Police Community Foundation, plays an important role in Ventura's Program Enrichment for After-School Kids (PEAK) and After-School Enrichment and Safety (ASES) Programs.

The programs proudly serve over 630 youth each day in a safe and supportive environment.
